FTP so slow

Why do I find FTP-ing so slow?  I'm talking less than 20 pages and not that many images.

This is usually due to low upload speeds that's true for most ISPs.

The time of day can also be a factor.  FTP uploads are usually quicker during the night when there's less net traffic.

I agree entirely with this!  I also find it's quicker during the night than in daytimes.

If you've got cPanel, it's often quicker to use the upload option instead of ftp for so few files.
